Back in 1980, Paul Boutinot set up what was to become the UK's leading wine distributors. Since then they have grown beyond just distribution and now have theoir own winemaking operations in countries such as Australia, France, South Africa and Italy.

By having their own vineyards, it enables them to practice what they preach. They roll up our sleeves and get stuck in. It gives them the knowledge and capability to experiment, innovate and develop their own unique tasting wines. 'Made by Boutinot' is more than just vineyards and cellars. It’s a longstanding relationships with hundreds of winegrowers around the world. They craft the wines by both vinifying fruit from their own vineyards, and by selecting and blending wine from partner growers. Boutinot's dedicated product managers (including two Masters of Wine) work hand in hand with experienced and highly talented winemakers and blenders. Together they bring the Boutinot winemaking philosophy to life. It's their mission to ensure all 'Made by Boutinot' wines are crafted to taste the way a Boutinot wine should. Never losing sight of the vision to create high quality wines at every price point.

Sixty Clicks is a concept. Normally Boutinot’s wines come from mountains or oceans but Central Victoria is just a flat, featureless plain. All there is to describe the place is vines in time and distance. Sixty clicks in a minute, an hour, frames per second in film, and sixty kms from one side of this farm to the other.

Vineyards
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon used in this blend come from vineyards in north-west Victoria, where the weather is of Mediterranean style (long warm days during the harvest period which takes place between January and early March for the white grapes). Grapes are machine harvested at night to ensure the fruit is at is coolest.

Vinification
The grapes are crushed and then passed through to a bag press where the fruit is gently pressed before heading off to a stainless steel tank for fermentation. Here the grapes are fermented for 4 weeks in tank. Once the grapes are blended they get sent to the bottling facility and await collection to land on your doorstep.
