Bodegas Navaja.S.L is a family winery situated in the village of Navarrete, in the heart of Rioja.
Founded in 1918 as Bodegas Arjona, the Navajas family acquired a share in the business in 1978, and in 1983 they becomethe sole stockholders, changing its name to Bodegas Navajas.
The bodega is currently run by Antonio Navajas and his wife Rosa Maria Gandarias. Their son Roberto is responsible for production and quality control, and their daughter Mercedes is in charge of exports.
Antonio Navajas, the current managing-director, took over the family business and geared it exclusively towards bottled wine, which he promoted both mationally and internationally; a decision which has favoured a considerable growth in prestige in different markets.
