Chateau Du Rosaire Lalande De Pomerol

A fantastic Bordeaux Pomerol boasting deep colour, intense fruit, and velvety tannins.

Hubert de Boüard de Laforest is an oenologist,a consultant and the co-owner of Cháteau de Angélus. 1st Grand Cru Classé A in Saint-Emilion. In 1998, he bought this estate with his children and renamed its wine La Fleur de Boüard.

The vineyards are planted in deep gravelly soils in what is an extension of the nearby Pomerol Plateau. This 14 hectare property contains the vine density of 7500 vines per hectare, 50% of which are Merlot, and the remaining 50% is Cabernet Franc. The young vines (average age of 10 years) flourish in the mixture of clay and limestone soil, with gravel underneath to facilitate drainage.

Traditional vinification techniques are used with stainless steel temperature controlled vats and 10 months aging in French oak barrels.
