Boutinot’s love affair with the southern Rhône is both enduring and unswerving. They believe that they can make great wine here and for that reason, Boutinot bought their first vineyard in France, in the southern Rhône – in the village of Cairanne. Ten years ago, Boutinot first glimpsed the potential of the vineyards of Cairanne when they released the 2000 vintage of La Côte Sauvage. Now they have several plots of old vines they call their own and begin to realise the dream of making even better wine. Over the past decade or so Boutinot have built enviable relationships with a network of local growers and continue to source grapes and wine from their trove of prized vineyards for the full range of Rhône wines.
Boutinot's philosophy is to make wines that are a true expression of their varietal character and perfect partners to food so we select the best vineyards, or sometimes just parcels of wine, to deliver just that. Grapes are sourced from vineyards dedicated to rosé production and specific plots are selected to deliver the right balance and flavour profile.
Each variety is vinified separately at low temperatures using the rosé de presse method to obtain a minimum of colour and maximum of fruit flavour.
A classic salmon pink rosé with delicate perfumed aromas of rosehip syrup, wild berry blossoms and cherries on the nose. Full flavoured, ripe and beautifully balanced with acidity, there’s elegant textured berry fruit on the palate with a twist of raspberry freshness to lift the finish. Deliciously balanced and moreish.
