Our buying mission is to seek out the unique and boutique: interesting products we are inspired to sell simply because they taste great, rather than solely being packaged and marketed well.
Our vast experience in the hospitality industry tells us that these products tend to be made by distillers and wine makers who have total control of the production process, those who are able to monitor quality from grape, grain, or plantation to bottle.
So rather than pitching for the market leader in any given area of our wine or spirit list, we put the research in, open bottles and rely on our taste buds. We are honest: it’s very difficult to sell products that don’t taste good, so we don’t stock them.
Proprietor, Chris Hill, brings to Latitude more than three decades' experience working with wines and spirits, having managed some of Leeds finest bars and restaurants, developing wine lists and cocktail menus for the likes of The Angel’s Share, Harvey Nichols, and Trio Bar.
